How long does a typical search take?
Each search is unique, but a typical search takes between 4 and 6 months.
Where do you conduct most of your executive searches?
We are a national executive search firm with offices in San Francisco and Washington D.C. However, we have done successful searches all over the US. We are happy to travel to your location and/or employ video conferencing methods like Zoom and Skype.
Can you do a search when search committee members are located all over the US, and/or international locations?
Absolutely, we do it all the time. In this day and age, with great video conferencing capabilities, we do high level searches where search committee members and candidates are geographically dispersed quite often.
What does a comprehensive search include?
It covers stakeholder interviews, a customized search strategy, position description, outreach, candidate identification, multiple rounds of interviews, references, offer negotiation and finalization.
What do you need on from your clients to best position the search to be successful?
- Full participation of the Client participants in all meetings (either in person or via Skype/Zoom)
- An open mind and open dialogue; being prepared to ‘expect the unexpected’
- A key point of contact/ administrative person on the client side to help get things scheduled
- Commitment to the timeline to stay on track, acknowledging the need for flexibility
