Mike Marcus is a consultant for The 360 Group. He is a community builder and systems thinker with a breadth of experience that spans nonprofit, philanthropic, academic, local government, and startup.
Mike believes that humans thrive in connected, vibrant places that represent the authentic values and strengths of their people, cultures, history, and geography. He views equity and inclusion as the foundation of progress with a particular interest in LGBTQ issue areas.
The first chapter of Mike’s career was focused on catalyzing resiliency and innovation in cities across the United States. Past engagements include a $4.5M design innovation hub in the mountains of the rural Southeast, a 150-city renewable energy finance pilot program serving the state of California, and a $16M municipal sustainability grant fund in the SF Bay Area.
Mike holds a B.S. in City & Regional Planning from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and an M.S. in Positive Organization Development & Change from the Weatherhead School at Case Western Reserve University (Cleveland, OH).
